Udaipur, May 24 (Daily Udaipur): Sensation spread in the Savina police station area of Udaipur after the body of an unidentified person was found in a vacant plot. Local residents noticed a strong foul smell coming from the area and went to check, where they discovered the body.
Residents immediately informed the Savina police. After receiving the information, police reached the spot and began investigation. People living in the nearby hilly area were also called for identification, but the deceased could not be identified.
According to police, the body is believed to be around two to three days old.
Station House Officer Gajveer Singh Solanki said that the body of a man was found late in the evening in a vacant plot near an under-construction building opposite Dr. Girija Vyas Petrol Pump. The body has been kept in the hospital mortuary.
Police said the identity of the deceased has not yet been established and efforts are being made for identification. The cause of death is also being investigated.
