A simple recipe for delicious phirni has been shared to enhance your Holi celebrations this year.
Ingredients for a dessert include 1/4 cup soaked and ground basmati rice, 1 litre full cream milk, 1/2 cup sugar, cardamom powder, and assorted nuts.
Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pan until thick. Drain soaked rice and grind coarsely, ensuring the mixture is not too fine.
Add coarse rice paste to milk and cook on low heat while stirring continuously to prevent lumps, as per instructions.
To achieve a rich dessert, cook rice until soft, add thickened milk, sugar, and saffron-infused milk.
Add cardamom powder and some dry fruits, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Photo: Adobe.
