KTM India has officially confirmed the launch date of the highly anticipated KTM 390 Enduro R. Scheduled to arrive on April 11, 2025, the bike is a dedicated off-road variant derived from KTM’s popular 390 platform. First showcased at India Bike Week 2025, the India-spec KTM 390 Enduro R comes with notable tweaks tailored specifically for Indian riders.

KTM 390 Enduro R: Lightweight Design and Off-Road Capability
Unlike the more touring-oriented KTM 390 Adventure, the new 390 Enduro R embraces a minimalist, off-road-centric design. With fewer body panels and a lighter overall build, the motorcycle weighs just 168 kg, ensuring agile handling and enhanced off-road performance.
For instrumentation, the Enduro R replaces the larger display found on the Adventure models with a compact 4.1-inch TFT screen. This unit supports Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and smartphone pairing.
India-Specific Changes in Suspension and Dimensions
KTM has adjusted the suspension specifically for the Indian market, borrowing components from the 390 Adventure S. The Enduro R offers a suspension travel of 205 mm at the front and 200 mm at the rear, reduced from the global model’s 230 mm. Ground clearance is set at 253 mm, down from 272 mm, and the seat height is 860 mm—significantly lower than the international version’s 890 mm.
The motorcycle retains a classic off-road wheel setup—21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels—but will come equipped with specially selected Mitas dual-purpose tyres for optimal grip across various terrains.
Engine Performance and Safety Features
Powering the KTM 390 Enduro R is KTM’s trusted 399 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled LC4c engine, also used in the KTM 390 Duke. The motor generates an impressive 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed transmission.
Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS and traction control. However, unlike the 390 Adventure, the Enduro R skips cruise control to focus purely on rugged off-road capabilities.
KTM 390 Enduro R Price and Market Positioning
Expected to be priced competitively around ₹3.2 lakh (ex-showroom), the KTM 390 Enduro R will sit between the KTM 390 Adventure X and S variants. Unique in its segment without direct competition, the KTM 390 Enduro R targets riders seeking adventure, trail riding, and hardcore off-road experiences.
