BHOPAL, May 3, 2025 — A significant shift in weather conditions has been observed across Madhya Pradesh, with the INDIA Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing an alert for rain, thunderstorms, and hail across large parts of the state. On Saturday, rain and storm activity is expected in at least 40 districts, with seven eastern districts likely to witness hailstorms.

This change is being attributed to an active cyclonic circulation and western disturbance, both of which are influencing regional weather patterns and sustaining storm conditions through May 6.

Districts Under Alert for Rain, Thunderstorms, and Hail

Rain and thunderstorm alerts have been issued for the following 40 districts, including major urban centers like Bhopal, Gwalior, and Jabalpur:

North and Central MP: Bhopal, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Raisen, Sagar, Narmadapuram
Eastern MP: Jabalpur, Satna, Maihar, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Dindori, Anuppur, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Panna, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari
