Mahindra XUV 3XO: Mahindra’s most affordable sub-compact SUV, the XUV 3XO, is creating a strong buzz across India. With its bold styling and feature-rich cabin, the SUV has quickly become a top choice among budget-conscious buyers. Even with a sales dip in June 2025, the XUV 3XO remains one of the top performers in its category. Its strong value proposition sets it apart from rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Venue.
Price and June Sales
In June 2025, Mahindra sold 7,089 units of the XUV 3XO, reflecting a 17% drop from the 8,500 units sold in June 2024. Despite the decline, it maintained its position as one of the best-selling sub-compact SUVs in India. The base variant is priced at ₹7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the fully loaded top variant goes up to ₹15.80 lakh. The mid-range RevX trims start at ₹8.94 lakh and go up to ₹12.99 lakh.
Engine Options
The XUV 3XO is offered with three engine choices: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. This versatility makes it ideal for both daily city commutes and long-distance highway drives.
Fuel Efficiency
Fuel economy is one of the SUV’s standout features. The diesel automatic variant delivers an impressive 21.2 kmpl, while the diesel manual offers 20.6 kmpl. The petrol variants also perform well, returning 19.34 kmpl with the manual and 18.06 kmpl with the automatic. These figures make the XUV 3XO one of the most fuel-efficient options in its segment.
Additional Features
The Mahindra XUV 3XO packs in several premium features not commonly found in this price bracket. Highlights include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and ventilated front seats. Other comfort features include rear AC vents, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, and a height-adjustable driver seat.
Safety Features
Safety remains a major strength of the XUV 3XO. It has secured a 5-star rating in BNCAP crash tests and comes equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane keep assist, and blind spot monitoring enhance overall driving safety. The SUV also includes all-wheel disc brakes, hill hold and descent control, traction control, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
