Seven-Day Scout Training Camp Concludes at Pacific University

UDAIPUR, February 26, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): The seven-day mandatory Cub Master Flock Leader training camp organised under the aegis of Hindustan Scout and Guide Rajasthan concluded on Thursday at Pacific University, Debari. The camp was conducted for students and trainee teachers of Pacific BSTC College.

The closing ceremony was held at the university auditorium. Vice Chancellor Dr Hemant Kothari attended as the chief guest, while the programme was presided over by District President of Hindustan Scout and Guide Narendra Singh Ranawat.

Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Department, Udaipur, Gaurikant Sharma; Principal of Pacific College of Physical Education Dr Hemant Pandya; Principal of College of Education Department Dr Kapilesh Tiwari; Chairman of Faculty of Science and Technology Prof Dilendra Hiran; Manpreet Singh Kharra from The Udaipur Transport Organisation; Ranger Rover in-charge Kavita Sagar; Dilip Singh Chauhan; Dr Sheila Salvi; Dr L.N. Chaubisa; Dr Kapil Jain; Divisional Commissioner of Hindustan Scout and Guide Gopal Mehta Menaria; District Organiser Shanta Vaishnav; District Secretary Rama Jain; Joint District Secretary Ishwari Raigar; and Dungarpur District Organiser Gajendra Vaishnav were among those present.

All guests were accorded a guard of honour by the Ranger Rover team of Hindustan Scout and Guide.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Hemant Kothari described scout and guide students as symbols of commitment, service, dedication and sacrifice. He said that in the era of artificial intelligence, it is essential to move forward with time and continuously enhance one’s skills.

The programme began with Vande Mataram, followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp before Goddess Saraswati. Guests were welcomed with scout scarves. Dr Kapilesh Tiwari delivered the welcome address, while camp director Shanta Vaishnav presented the seven-day camp report.

Various scout and guide teams presented welcome songs and cultural performances during the ceremony. Deputy Director Gaurikant Sharma, District President Narendra Singh Ranawat, and Chairman Dr Dilendra Hiran also addressed the participants.

On behalf of the trained scout team, participant Mihir Jain shared his experience, while Anju Nagda spoke as a representative of the guide team. They said that during the camp, different training counsellors imparted lessons in traditional forest skills and values such as discipline, honesty, loyalty, hard work and the ability to survive in challenging conditions with limited resources. They assured readiness for service whenever required.

The programme was conducted by Divisional Commissioner Gopal Mehta Menaria. Training counsellor Manish Trivedi delivered the vote of thanks. The camp formally concluded with an announcement by co-incharge Gajendra Vaishnav, followed by the National Anthem.
