Dhaka, March 7: Hafizur Rahman Khan, Chairman of Runner Group of Companies, stated on Saturday that the future market is gradually shifting towards electric vehicles and green technologies, such as DMI technology and PHEV vehicles. He emphasized that this is the future, as consumers are becoming more environmentally conscious about carbon emissions for the next generation.
Regarding pricing, Khan mentioned that costs depend on various factors. Therefore, the company offers different models at varying prices, catering to customer preferences. Some customers prioritize affordability, while others do not. He explained that they manufacture two-wheeled and three-wheeled vehicles, as well as assemble commercial vehicles and BYD cars. This indicates a gradual shift towards new technologies across all sectors.
India is also rapidly advancing in electric vehicles (EVs) and green technology. By March 2026, this revolution has gained significant momentum. The government’s goal is for 30% of total new vehicle sales to be electric by 2030, and progress appears promising. On February 25, Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, stated that with clear policy guidelines and strong industry participation, India can establish itself as a leading global hub for electric mobility manufacturing and innovation.
The world is racing towards electric vehicles (EVs) due to the significant changes they bring, impacting the environment, economy, technology, and policies. By March 2026, there has been a surge in global EV adoption, although some regions, such as the United States, are experiencing a slight slowdown.
