Patna, March 9: In Bihar, the political landscape is shifting as the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has put up posters demanding Chirag Paswan be appointed as Chief Minister. Sanjay Paswan, the state’s Sugar Department Minister, acknowledged the sentiments of the party workers but emphasized that Nitish Kumar remains the Chief Minister for now.
During a media interaction in Patna, when asked about the posters advocating for Chirag’s elevation, Sanjay Paswan stated, “Currently, Nitish Kumar is the Chief Minister. Any future decisions will be made in the NDA meeting, and we will welcome whatever is decided.”
He further noted that every party worker has their own feelings, which should be respected. The final decision will come from the top leadership, and it is essential to honor the coalition’s decisions rather than individual desires.
Regarding Nishant’s inclusion in the JD(U), he remarked that all parties make decisions for their own betterment and elect their leaders accordingly. Previously, calls for Chirag Paswan to become Chief Minister have been raised by his supporters, with posters also displayed outside the Bihar BJP office.
This demand has been echoed by Chirag Paswan’s supporters in the past, especially following Nitish Kumar‘s nomination for the Rajya Sabha, indicating a potential vacancy for the Chief Minister’s position in Bihar. The political temperature has risen with the latest demands, as posters outside the BJP office read, “No riots, no disturbances, only Chirag for Bihar’s CM.”
