Jaipur, April 1:
In a significant move, the Rajasthan government has transferred 65 IAS officers, marking one of the largest administrative reshuffles in recent times. This decision, made late on the last day of March, has altered the leadership across the state’s secretariat and 26 districts.
One of the most notable changes is in Chittorgarh, where the current collector, Alok Ranjan, has been reassigned to Jodhpur. Taking his place is Dr. Manju, an IAS officer from the 2016 batch. Dr. Manju is not only an adept administrator but also a qualified gynecologist. During her tenure in Sri Ganganagar, she made remarkable contributions in the fields of health and drug de-addiction.
With Dr. Manju’s appointment, Chittorgarh is now a hub of women’s empowerment in administration. Alongside her, Prabha Gautam serves as the Additional District Collector, Sarita Singh as the Additional District Police Superintendent, and Beenu Deval as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate. The presence of women in key positions has transformed the administrative landscape of Chittorgarh, emphasizing the importance of women’s power in governance.
