
Mumbai, April 2: In a swift police operation, two suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident involving a young man in the Suhagpura area. Authorities seized a shotgun and a motorcycle used in the crime from the accused.
According to reports, Vardichand, a resident of Panawla village, filed a complaint at the police station stating that his nephew, Ankush alias Pappu, aged 16, was guarding a maize crop in his field. During this time, a group of individuals entered the field while hunting and opened fire. One bullet struck Ankush in the head, leaving him critically injured.
Ankush was immediately rushed to the district hospital in Pratapgarh, where his condition remains serious.
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Police, teams conducted raids and apprehended the first two suspects, Laxman alias Lachiya and Ganesh Meena. Subsequently, the main accused, Gendraj alias Babu and Mangilal Meena, were also taken into custody.
The police confirmed that they have recovered the firearm and motorcycle used in the shooting. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
