Sikar, April 26: Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during a media interaction at his residence in Sikar on Sunday. He asserted that AAP was a gathering of corrupt individuals, which is now disintegrating.
Dotasra accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of supporting AAP during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government, providing funding and manpower. He claimed that the BJP was struggling to gain power in Delhi and was unable to gather public support, which led to the establishment of AAP.
He stated that the BJP has now realized that AAP is mired in corruption. Dotasra pointed out that the seven AAP MPs who joined the BJP are facing investigations by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Income Tax department, suggesting that the BJP is exploiting these individuals.
The Congress leader alleged that the BJP intends to use these leaders against Congress in Punjab under Operation Lotus. He noted that the BJP had previously employed similar tactics in Delhi and Gujarat, and is now applying the same strategy in Punjab.
Dotasra emphasized that AAP lacks a coherent ideology and has been functioning as the B team of the BJP. He claimed that this team has now disbanded, which he believes will provide relief to the public and allow for a return to ideological politics.
Additionally, Dotasra criticized the state government on educational issues. He mentioned that during the Congress government, a book titled “Golden India Before and After Independence” was introduced for 11th and 12th grades, which highlighted Rajasthan’s valor, freedom struggle, and history. This book received national acclaim, including praise from NCERT. He alleged that the current state government has discontinued these four books. If the government has a better curriculum, it should implement it, but simply discontinuing books is not acceptable.
Dotasra also pointed out that books related to the RSS ideology titled “Saga of Emergency Struggle” are being distributed in government programs, workshops, and seminars. He accused the government of imposing the RSS agenda in education and misusing state resources and personnel to impose its ideology on students. He criticized the state government for engaging in ideology-based politics instead of making necessary innovations in the education sector, which he deemed reprehensible.
