Announcement at Uttam Kumar Film Center Ceremony
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced Chakraborty’s appointment during the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Uttam Kumar Film Center in New Town. His contributions to the film industry and his connection to West Bengal were cited as the basis for this responsibility.
Mithun has previously been involved in various cultural events in the state, including celebrations related to the centenary of Bengali cinema icon Uttam Kumar. While shooting in Alipurduar, Mithun expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for this new role.
