New Delhi, October 8: Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari participated in a departmental summit chaired by Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Annapurna Devi, in New Delhi. Kumari oversees the Women and Child Development Department in Rajasthan.
During the summit, she shared insights on initiatives and innovations in women’s empowerment, child welfare, girl education, nutrition, and Anganwadi services across various states, including Rajasthan.
“The government’s commitment is to provide every daughter in the state with equal opportunities for education and advancement,” stated Diya Kumari.
Kumari emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, efforts are ongoing to empower women, promote girls’ education, and ensure a healthy and safe future for children. She reassured that work continues towards securing a safe, healthy, and bright future for every woman and child.
The conference discussed various topics related to women’s and child development, including plans and innovations. However, detailed information about the specific initiatives presented by Rajasthan was not disclosed by the government.
In June, during a review meeting, Secretary Poonam highlighted that Rajasthan ranks among the leading states in the country for initiatives like the Nutrition Tracker app, the Prime Minister’s Matru Vandana Scheme, and the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign. Diya Kumari instructed officials to position Rajasthan as a model state in this sector.
Additionally, a CSR partnership workshop was held in Jaipur in June, outlining plans to modernize Anganwadi centers under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Nutrition 2.0. The workshop also introduced pre-fabricated and container Anganwadi centers, along with details about the Pankhudi portal launched on January 8, 2026. State Minister for Women and Child Development, Dr. Manju Baghmar, also attended the workshop.
