New Delhi, October 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah targeted the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party during a recent event. He stated that protests and sit-ins yield no results. To win elections, it is essential to understand the public’s issues and work on welfare schemes.
Shah emphasized that the opposition cannot challenge the public mandate through political maneuvering and crowd tactics. He asserted that due to its negative politics, Congress will not be able to return to power for the next 30 years.
Yamuna Revitalization Projects Launched
Shah made these remarks while inaugurating and laying the foundation for projects related to the Yamuna revitalization by the Delhi Jal Board. According to Delhi’s Water Minister Pravesh Verma, the program included 43 projects worth ₹8,941.22 crores, with 10 inaugurations and 33 foundations being laid.
Among these projects are a new sewage treatment plant in Okhla with a capacity of 124 MGD worth ₹1,161 crores, upgrades to eight sewage treatment plants costing ₹1,041 crores, and 29 decentralized sewage treatment plants and sewage pumping stations totaling ₹3,113.67 crores.
Coincidentally, Thursday also marked Amit Shah’s 62nd birthday.
