A major update has been issued for farmers eagerly awaiting the 20th installment of Rs 2,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN). Ahead of the next disbursal, the government has made it mandatory for beneficiaries to complete certain verification steps to continue receiving benefits under the scheme. Failure to do so could result in the installment being withheld.

Here’s what farmers must do to ensure seamless credit of the upcoming PM Kisan installment.
Complete Aadhaar-Based e-KYC
One of the key requirements is Aadhaar-based e-KYC to verify the identity of the beneficiaries. The process is simple and can be completed either online at the official PM Kisan portal pmkisan.gov.in or offline by visiting the nearest Common Service Center (CSC).
You will need your Aadhaar number and the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar for this process. Without completing e-KYC, farmers will not be eligible to receive the 20th installment.
Steps to Complete e-KYC Online
-
Visit the PM Kisan official website.
-
Click on the ‘e-KYC’ option on the homepage.
-
Enter your Aadhaar number and click ‘Search’.
-
Verify the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number.
Once verified, your e-KYC process will be successfully completed.
Link Aadhaar with Bank Account
In addition to e-KYC, it is mandatory to link your Aadhaar card with your bank account to enable Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of the installment. To do this, visit your nearest bank branch with your Aadhaar card and passbook and request Aadhaar seeding for your account.
Without linking your bank account to Aadhaar, you may face delays or disruptions in receiving your PM Kisan payments.
Land Verification Required
Another crucial requirement for receiving the 20th installment is land verification. This ensures that only eligible farmers with verified cultivable land benefit from the scheme.
Farmers who have not yet completed this verification step must contact their local authorities or visit the CSC to update land records. Incorrect or outdated land records may cause installment payments to be stopped.
What Happens if Verification is Incomplete?
If farmers complete all required verifications before the release of the 20th installment, the funds will be credited to their bank account without any issue. However, if any verification step is missed, the installment payment may be blocked until the process is completed.
Need Assistance?
If you encounter any problems during these procedures, you can contact the PM Kisan Helpline:

To avoid last-minute hurdles, farmers are advised to complete e-KYC, bank account linking, and land verification well in advance of the upcoming installment.
