BJPs Rally in Jaipur: A Show of Strength Amidst Festive Season

Jaipur, November 5: The BJP’s rally under the banner of ‘Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy’ commenced at Ramleela Maidan on Thursday. Key figures present included Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, BJP State President Madan Rathore, and State In-Charge Sanjay Bhatia. Following the rally, Vaishnaw is set to lead a foot march from New Gate to Tripolia Gate.
The BJP claims an attendance of around 10,000 people at the event, with a significant number of party officials and workers present at the venue.
During the welcome speech, Jaipur MP Manju Sharma mistakenly omitted the name of State President Madan Rathore. Shortly after, she corrected herself, stating she had forgotten to mention their family head, Madan Rathore. This prompted laughter from Rathore, who, along with the Chief Minister and Vaishnaw, shared a light-hearted moment.
The BJP is conducting this campaign to counter Congress’s allegations regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Given the festive shopping crowds in the walled city markets, the party has opted for a shorter route for the foot march. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot criticized these marches, stating that the country is witnessing a ‘ruling opposition’ for the first time.
