
Udaipur, March 13: In line with the Chief Minister’s budget announcement, the Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi is organizing the three-day Vijaydan Detha Literary Festival from March 17 to 19, 2026, at its premises. Dr. Chandra Singh Solanki, the secretary of the Akademi, shared that the festival will feature a total of 12 sessions, showcasing the active participation of renowned national and regional authors.
The festival will kick off with an inaugural session on March 17, 2026. The chief guest will be Mr. Manoj Kumar, the National Organization Minister of the All India Literary Council, Jaipur, with Padma Shri Chandra Prakash Deval from Ajmer as the distinguished guest.
Various sessions will highlight prominent authors from across the country and the state, including Kailash Kabir (Jodhpur), Dr. Indushekhar Tatpurush (Jaipur), Mr. Vishnu Harihar Sharma (Kota), Prof. B.P. Cultural evenings will be organized on both the first and last days, featuring the participation of prominent local authors. Additionally, a grand book exhibition will be held in the Akademi premises, showcasing works from various publishers.
The local administration will also lend its support for this event. The Rajasthan State Archives in Udaipur will host a special exhibition on the theme of Mewar during this occasion.
