Application Process: Step-by-Step Guide

To apply for CTET 2025, candidates should follow the steps below:

Visit the official website: ctet.nic.in
Click on “Apply Online”
Complete the registration process and note the application/registration number

Upload scanned copies of your latest photo and signature
Review the form carefully before submission
Pay the application fee through the available online modes

Minimum Passing Marks and Certificate Validity

To qualify in CTET, candidates must score a minimum of 60% (90 out of 150 marks) for General category and 55% (82 out of 150 marks) for SC/ST categories. A notable advantage is that the CTET scorecard is now valid for a lifetime, eliminating the need for repeat attempts once passed.

Clearing Paper-1 qualifies candidates to teach Classes 1–5, while Paper-2 is for those aiming to teach Classes 6–8.
