Nagpur, August 25: Central Minister Nitin Gadkari’s recent statement has sparked political discussions from Maharashtra to Delhi. He remarked that he is no longer able to work as effectively as before and emphasized that responsibilities should be handed over to the younger generation.
Gadkari made these comments during the ‘Ekalavya Ekal Vidyalaya Teacher-Supervisor Training Program’ held in Nagpur. His remarks are being interpreted as a potential generational shift in political and organizational responsibilities.
‘It’s Time to Empower the Younger Generation’
During the event, Gadkari stressed the need to promote the younger generation. He stated that responsibilities should gradually be entrusted to youth, enabling them to take on leadership roles.
Following Gadkari’s comments, political corridors have begun to analyze their implications. However, his statement should not be viewed as a formal announcement of resigning from a position or making an immediate political decision.
Discussion in Maharashtra Politics
Gadkari’s statement comes at a time when various discussions are ongoing regarding Maharashtra’s political landscape. Speculations have also been raised about Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s future political role.
This context has led to Gadkari’s call for handing over responsibilities to the younger generation being linked to potential political and organizational changes. However, the BJP has not made any official announcements regarding such changes.
Gadkari Shares Personal Anecdote
In his address, Gadkari also shared an interesting anecdote about his personal lifestyle in relation to politics. He mentioned that during his youth, his daily routine was quite unstructured.
Gadkari recounted that he often went to bed after having samosas in the evening while working for the party. Post-COVID, he has become more serious about his health.
Two and a Half Hours of Daily Exercise and Pranayama
Gadkari advised the youth to pay special attention to their health. He revealed that he now exercises for about two and a half hours every morning and works out under the supervision of a trainer.
He encouraged young people to dedicate at least half an hour daily to exercise and pranayama. Through his experiences, Gadkari conveyed the message that health should not be neglected amidst a public and busy life.
