Jaipur, October 1: The Rajasthan Congress is experiencing heightened tensions following allegations made by former minister Vishvendra Singh. In response, state Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra asserted unity within the party on Thursday, October 1.
Dotasra emphasized that this is not the time for distractions and that all leaders stand united. He also claimed that the party is poised to defeat the BJP in upcoming elections.
Unity Shouted Among Workers on Dotasra’s Birthday
This statement came on Dotasra’s birthday. Born on October 1, 1964, in Laxmangarh, Dotasra turned 62 on Thursday. Before departing from Jaipur to Degana, he met with party workers.
Opposition leader Tikaram Julie and other senior leaders extended birthday wishes to him. During this gathering, Dotasra rallied the workers with chants of “We are all one.” He later left for Degana alongside Julie.
Women’s Congress President Labels Singh a ‘Sleeper Cell’

Chaudhary, who took charge of the Women’s Congress this year, is considered part of Dotasra’s faction.
State General Secretary Says Platform Exists for Discussion
State Congress General Secretary Jaswant Gurjar also objected to the statements circulating on social media attributed to Vishvendra Singh. He labeled them as contrary to party tradition and part of the BJP’s alleged misinformation campaign.
Gurjar stated that there is a designated platform within the party for expressing concerns, and reports from organizational heads are solicited during elections. He also referenced incidents related to the mayoral elections in Bharatpur.
Youth Congress Leader Questions Singh’s Activity
Former Youth Congress Secretary Satyaveer Aloria raised questions about Vishvendra Singh’s activity within the party on X. He inquired about Singh’s participation in Congress events over the past two and a half years.
Aloria accused Singh of acting in the BJP’s interest, asserting that party workers stand with state president Dotasra. These allegations have been made by various leaders and remain unverified.
Dispute Has Been Ongoing for Three Days
The controversy began following the results of local body elections when Vishvendra Singh accused both district presidents and state leadership of favoring their associates in ticket distribution. The next day, he questioned the ticket selection process by counting votes from five wards in Deeg.
The matter has escalated from an organizational review to public exchanges between state leadership and the former minister. While Dotasra promotes a message of unity, leaders supporting him are questioning Singh’s intentions.
As of now, there has been no response from Vishvendra Singh regarding these reactions.
