Rajasthan Congress Organization Set for Major Changes Ahead of Elections

Jaipur, July 9: Rumors are swirling about significant changes within the Rajasthan Congress organization. Indications suggest that Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra may soon reshuffle the team of state officials. This move is likely in response to the need for increased organizational activity, dual responsibilities, and preparations for upcoming elections.

Sources indicate that around a dozen leaders who have previously served as district presidents or held other positions within the organization may be relieved of their current roles. Additionally, discussions are underway to replace three to four inactive state officials with new, younger leaders.

The anticipated organizational changes could see the current two state vice presidents and more than half a dozen state secretaries removed from their positions. Reports suggest that the national leadership of Congress aims to make the party more active and balanced in Rajasthan ahead of the forthcoming municipal and Panchayati Raj elections.

According to insiders, priority in these changes may be given to leaders who are organizationally active and capable of strengthening the party at the regional level. Emphasis on youth, social balance, and electoral utility is also expected to play a significant role in the new appointments.

Meanwhile, high-level signals from the All India Congress Committee (AICC) suggest that Govind Singh Dotasra may remain in his position for now. It is anticipated that under Dotasra’s leadership, the state organization will continue to advance until the upcoming municipal and Panchayati Raj elections.

The upcoming local body and Panchayati Raj elections are deemed crucial for Congress in Rajasthan. Therefore, the organizational changes are viewed as a strategic move linked to electoral preparation and grassroots activity. However, no official announcement regarding these changes has been made by Congress yet.

All eyes are now on the upcoming list from the national leadership and the state organization. After the new appointments, it will become clear which regions, demographics, and leadership groups the party prioritizes within its organization.
