Rajasthan Foundation Day Celebrated With Exhibition And Seminar In Udaipur Daily Udaipur

Udaipur, March 16: On the occasion of Rajasthan Foundation Day, the Rajasthan State Archives in Udaipur organized an exhibition and seminar at the Rajasthan Literary Academy’s library building. The exhibition showcased documents related to Mewar, including the Sajjan Kirti Sudharak, Mewar Gazette, livestock, agriculture, and various gazettes, inscriptions, copper plates, newspapers, maps, and more from the time of the Mewar princely state.

The event emphasized the importance of understanding history in today’s context. The chief guest, Mr. Tarachand Jain, MLA of Udaipur City, inaugurated the exhibition. He stated that comprehending and knowing our rich history is essential, as it informs us about our glorious past. He suggested that these records should be displayed during various events and ceremonies to educate the public about historical events.

Dr. Shrikrishna Jugnu, who chaired the program, remarked that reading the language, culture, cuisine, and archives from the time of the Mewar State is integral to our culture. This culture inspires us to delve into history. He stressed the necessity of reading and understanding the pages of history written in ancient times.

Dr. Chandra Singh Solanki announced that the exhibition would be held from March 16 to March 19, 2026, and would be beneficial for the residents of Udaipur, writers, historians, and students.

At the end of the program, Dr. Chandra Singh Solanki expressed gratitude. The event was conducted by storyteller Rajat. The seminar featured attendees such as Hemant Joshi, Dr. Kundan Mali, Sunil Tank, renowned craftsman Sunil Ladha, Sarita Jain, Chirag Joshi, Sohan Lal, and Mohan Lal.
