
Udaipur, March 16: A district-level celebration of Rajasthan Tribal Pride Day took place on Monday at the Dindayal Upadhyay Auditorium of the Municipal Corporation, as part of various events commemorating Rajasthan Foundation Day.
The event featured a live broadcast of the state-level ceremony held at Beneshwar Dham in Dungarpur district on an LED screen. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma attended as the chief guest, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to the development of tribal communities, preservation of traditions, and enhancement of education and employment opportunities.
During the district-level ceremony, local MLA Tarachand Jain emphasized that Rajasthan’s tribal culture is a vital part of the state’s identity. He noted that the tribal community has preserved its traditions, folk arts, customs, and harmonious lifestyle with nature for centuries, serving as an inspiration for society as a whole. Jain added that the state government is implementing various schemes for the comprehensive development of tribal areas, resulting in positive changes in education, health, and employment sectors.
The event was attended by social worker Ravindra Shrimali, District Council CEO Riya Dabi, TAD Deputy Commissioner Nirma Vishnoi, District Council ACEO Virma Ram, along with a large number of youth and local residents.
Rajasthan Youth Power Day Scheduled for March 17
As part of the ongoing weekly events celebrating Rajasthan Foundation Day, the district-level Rajasthan Youth Power Day will be held on Tuesday at the Dindayal Upadhyay Auditorium. Additionally, a quiz competition themed “Know Rajasthan” will be organized in local schools and colleges on the same day.
