Mumbai, October 20: Congress General Secretary and Punjab in-charge Sachin Pilot held a meeting with party workers in Gurudaspur on Monday. He criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, stating that mismanagement and administrative failures have severely hindered Punjab’s progress. The meeting saw a large turnout of Congress workers, local leaders, and supporters.
Pilot later took to social media to express his commitment to addressing public concerns and becoming the voice of the oppressed. He emphasized, “The misgovernance and administrative failures of the Aam Aadmi Party have significantly obstructed Punjab’s progress and weakened the aspirations of the state’s people.”
In his post, Pilot tagged several state leaders, including Punjab Congress President Paragat Singh, Leader of the Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa, and former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Paragat Singh had assumed office as Punjab Congress President on October 2.
Pilot urged the workers to strengthen the organization and raise public issues. He reiterated the commitment of the Congress state leadership and workers to prioritize the problems faced by the people and to be the voice of the oppressed.
Just three days prior, on October 16, Pilot had visited Mansa, where he met the family of the late anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota. He stated that the fight against drug abuse is not just a law-and-order issue but a battle to save an entire generation in Punjab.
Pilot’s recent engagements highlight the Congress party’s focus on addressing pressing issues in Punjab and reinforcing its organizational strength.
