UDA Excludes Six Villages, Reducing Total from 205 to 199
The Udaipur Development Authority is set to remove six villages from its jurisdiction, resulting in a decrease in total villages.
UDAIPUR, Oct 24: The Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) plans to remove six villages from its jurisdiction, lowering the total from 205 to 199. This decision follows a revised notification from the Urban Development and Housing Department.

Udaipur’s rural MLA, Phool Singh Meena, said the decision was made due to the villages’ significant distances and their geographic and social conditions. Local residents had demanded this change, which was presented to the state Urban Development Minister in Jaipur.
The excluded villages comprise four revenue villages from Barapal tehsil: Undri Khurd, Popalty, Fanda, and Alsigarh. Two villages from Gogunda tehsil—Bhadvi Guda and Naya Guda—will also be removed.
Meena emphasized that this decision provides relief to residents, particularly those from the tribal community. He thanked Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, UDA Minister Jhavar Singh Kharra, and administrative officials for their support.
