New Delhi, October 19: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani has been discharged from the hospital after a successful recovery. He was admitted to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi on the evening of October 16 due to a chest infection. According to the hospital, his condition has improved significantly.
Under the care of senior neurology consultant Dr. Vineet Suri, Advani was initially placed in the ICU. He spent three days in the hospital during his treatment.
On the day following his admission, Union Health Minister and BJP leader Jagat Prakash Nadda visited Advani at the hospital to check on his health. At that time, the hospital reported that his condition was stable.
At 98 years old, LK Advani resides at his government bungalow located at 30, Prithviraj Road in Lutyens’ Delhi. His daughter, Pratibha Advani, has been responsible for his care since the passing of his wife, Kamla Advani, in 2016.
