Banswara, April 8: Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje showcased a remarkable initiative at the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan‘ event by dedicating the entire stage to women. During the program, she requested all male leaders to step down from the stage and take their seats in the audience, a request that was graciously accepted. This move is being regarded as a symbolic yet significant step towards women empowerment.
Addressing the gathering, Raje emphasized that the event was entirely dedicated to women’s strength, highlighting the importance of male support. She expressed gratitude to the male leaders for vacating the stage. Held at the BJP office, Raje mentioned that this initiative was launched under the guidance of the party’s national leadership and began from the sacred land of Goddess Tripura Sundari.
Raje linked the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’ to the respect and dignity of women, comparing it to the sacred sandalwood on their foreheads. She thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval of this act in Parliament in 2023, which ensures 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies. This legislation is expected to significantly enhance women’s participation in politics.
She urged women not to view politics as a part-time endeavor but to embrace it as a full-time service. In a light-hearted manner, she remarked that soon 33% of the country will be managed by women, while men will take on household responsibilities. This statement sparked lively discussions among attendees.
