Jaipur, March 5, 2026 (Daily Udaipur): The Rajasthan government is providing financial assistance of up to ₹1.5 lakh to families on the birth of a girl child under the Lado Protsahan Yojana. The scheme aims to support the education and future security of girls by offering financial aid from birth until graduation.

Many families miss out on the benefit due to lack of awareness. Under this scheme, eligible families receive the amount in multiple instalments linked to the girl’s age and educational milestones.
Who Is Eligible for the Scheme
Parents can avail the benefit if they meet the following conditions:
-
The mother must be a native resident of Rajasthan.
-
The girl child must be born in a government hospital or a private hospital authorised under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY).
-
The earlier restriction related to the number of children has been removed for later instalments. Girls who have already received the first two instalments remain eligible for future benefits.
₹1.5 Lakh Given in Seven Instalments
The total assistance of ₹1.5 lakh is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through DBT in seven stages:
-
₹2,500: At the time of birth in an authorised hospital

-
₹4,000: On admission to Class 1

₹11,000: On admission to Class 10
-
₹25,000: On admission to Class 12
-
₹1,00,000: After passing graduation and completing 21 years of age
How to Apply
The process to avail the scheme is simple and largely digital.

-
Unique ID: At the time of birth, the hospital provides a PCTS ID, which is used to track future instalments.
-
Vaccination update: The first two instalments are credited automatically once vaccination details are updated online.
-
School and college role: For the third to sixth instalments, schools update the student’s details on the Ojas portal. For the final instalment, graduation marksheets and age proof must be uploaded on the higher education department portal.
Important Documents
Parents must have the following documents ready:
-
Jan Aadhaar card
-
Bank passbook
-
Mamta card
Rajshree Scheme Merged
Officials said that the earlier Rajshree Yojana has now been merged into the Lado Protsahan Yojana. Families already receiving benefits under the previous scheme will continue to receive the next instalments according to the revised rules.
The final instalment of ₹1 lakh is transferred directly to the girl’s bank account after she completes graduation and turns 21 years old.
