Jaipur, March 31: BJP state president Madan Rathore has sharply responded to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot‘s recent statements, declaring that Gehlot’s political time has come to an end. He urged Gehlot to step aside and allow the new generation to take the lead. Rathore suggested that Gehlot should abandon his “waiting philosophy” and instead embrace a path of contentment by distancing himself from active politics.
Rathore accused Gehlot of leading the Congress party into a state of decline, noting that its position has weakened in several states. He pointed out that Gehlot’s frequent trips to Delhi indicate that decisions within the Congress are made by the high command rather than at the local level, which undermines the organization.
Targeting the Congress further, Rathore claimed that dynastic politics dominate the party, which he believes contradicts the core principles of democracy. He emphasized that leadership should be based on merit and public service, rather than familial ties.
On the topic of women’s empowerment, Rathore asserted that the BJP is fully committed to promoting female leadership and has capable and trained women leaders within the party. He also took a jab at Congress leaders, suggesting that some have limited their ambitions to their own families.
Regarding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Rathore stated that this is not a new issue, and the Supreme Court has consistently emphasized its necessity. He argued that “one nation, one law” is essential for protecting women’s rights.
He also announced that the BJP will celebrate its foundation day on April 6 across the state, with events planned from the mandal to booth levels. Rathore expressed confidence in a strong victory for the BJP in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need to further strengthen the organization.
