Rajasthan continues to experience relief from the biting cold as temperatures in cities like Jaipur, Kota, and Udaipur climbed above 25°C on Monday. This warming trend is expected to persist today, providing much-needed respite from the chilly weather. However, starting Wednesday, January 22, the weather is predicted to shift once again, with a mild western disturbance likely to become active in the state’s northeastern parts.

Rain Forecast for Northeastern Rajasthan
As per meteorological predictions, cloud cover may develop over regions including Jaipur, Sikar, and Jhunjhunu, among others. Light rain or drizzle is expected in isolated areas across these districts.
This shift is attributed to the approaching western disturbance, which is likely to cause a change in weather patterns over at least 8 districts of Rajasthan.
Temperature Surge in Dungarpur and Other Areas
In the past 24 hours, Dungarpur recorded the highest temperature in the state, reaching 30.3°C. Several other districts also witnessed a significant rise in daytime temperatures:
- Dausa: 29.2°C
- Jalore: 29.3°C
- Barmer: 29.4°C
- Udaipur: 29.1°C
- Chittorgarh: 29.8°C
- Bhilwara: 29.0°C
The weather in Hanumangarh and Ganganagar also improved, with fog dissipating and the sun shining bright. Ganganagar saw its maximum temperature rise to 21.6°C, while Hanumangarh’s temperature increased to 22.1°C, marking a 4°C jump from the previous day.
Jaipur Sees Rising Temperatures and Relief from Cold
Jaipur, the state capital, also experienced a slight increase in temperatures, offering relief to residents. The minimum temperature was recorded at 14°C, while the maximum temperature reached 26.8°C.
Despite clear skies throughout Monday, a thin layer of fog in the morning subdued the sun’s brightness slightly. Nonetheless, the overall warmer conditions made the day much more comfortable compared to recent weeks.
