Karoli, March 31: A significant meeting of the Gurjar Reservation Struggle Committee was held at the residence of Colonel Kirori Singh Bainsla. Community leaders and officials expressed deep dissatisfaction with the government’s actions. The discussion focused on the implementation of the agreement made between the government and the committee on June 8, 2025. Officials noted that nearly ten months have passed since the agreement, yet only one point—compassionate appointment for the family of martyr Roop Narayan—has been addressed, leaving other demands unresolved. The community warned that if substantial progress is not made by the upcoming Martyr’s Day, they will take strict measures.
Concerns were also raised regarding the functioning of the Home Department. The committee alleged that no resolutions related to reservations have been made between 2023 and 2026. In November 2023, 42 cases were reported as resolved, but their FIR numbers have not been made public. Additionally, there was discontent over the property attachment orders in the Karoli police station case (2008) and case number 4/2016. The committee claimed that despite informing the Chief Minister’s office and the Minister of State for Home a year and a half ago, no concrete action has been taken, which they view as a betrayal to their struggling members.
Several crucial decisions regarding future strategies were made during the meeting. The community will unveil statues of martyrs at the martyr site in Kushalidarrah, Sawai Madhopur. They also decided to redirect their movement to ensure the implementation of MBC reservations in TSP areas. The government was asked for clarification regarding the backlog in RJ recruitment. Furthermore, it was resolved that future review meetings for the Devanarayan scheme will now present facts more assertively.
The meeting was attended by hundreds of activists, including Vijay Kirori Singh Bainsla, Parmal Singh Khatana (ASP), Ramraj Bhopar, Captain Pratap Singh Ghantar, Ramavatar Badiya, Mohar Singh Mal, Advocate Anand Patel, Advocate Virendra Singh, Mahendra Singh Bayana, Subedar Janak Singh, and Jeetu Tigharia.
