New Delhi On the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal delivered a scathing critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress, accusing them of undermining the values and vision of the architect of the Indian Constitution. Speaking at the AAP headquarters in Delhi, Kejriwal reaffirmed his party’s ideological commitment to the legacy of Ambedkar and freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.

Kejriwal Alleges False Tributes from Political Rivals
During his address, Kejriwal accused rival political parties of paying lip service to Dr. Ambedkar while disregarding his ideals in practice. “Today, many political leaders and parties are pretending to honor Baba Saheb. But the truth is, they don’t believe in his thoughts. Their tribute is just for show,” he stated.
He criticized both BJP and Congress for what he described as systemic neglect of Ambedkar’s focus on education and equality, suggesting that their actions are in direct opposition to Ambedkar’s vision of an educated and empowered society.
Education System Under Attack, Says Kejriwal
Highlighting the ongoing crisis in the education sector, Kejriwal said the BJP-led government has allowed private schools to exploit families through exorbitant fees. “When we were in power, we didn’t allow private schools to hike fees. But the moment BJP came into the picture, private institutions began exploiting parents like wolves,” he said.
The AAP leader drew parallels between the situation in Delhi and Gujarat, claiming the BJP had “ruined” the education system in Gujarat and is now attempting to replicate that failure in the capital. “If we truly improve education, poverty can be eradicated in a single generation. But they don’t want that,” Kejriwal declared.
A Conspiracy to Keep the Poor Illiterate?
In one of his most severe allegations, Kejriwal suggested that the country’s two major parties are intentionally keeping the poor uneducated. “I used to believe they didn’t know how to fix things. But now I’m convinced—they are deliberately keeping people illiterate,” he asserted.
He labeled it a joint conspiracy by BJP and Congress to deprive Dalits, backward classes, and economically weaker sections of true social mobility. “They don’t let the poor live with dignity, yet they put up Ambedkar’s photos just for show,” he said.
