Moradabad, April 18 : The weather in Moradabad took a sudden turn late Friday night as a powerful storm accompanied by heavy rainfall swept through the city. The intense winds caused multiple trees, hoardings, and power lines to collapse, plunging several areas into darkness.

Late Night Storm Disrupts Power and Traffic
Around 11 PM, strong winds began to blow across Moradabad, which quickly escalated into a full-fledged storm. Eyewitnesses reported that the storm’s intensity brought down electric wires, uprooted trees, and tore down advertising hoardings along the roadsides. As a result, electricity supply was disrupted in large parts of the city, causing widespread blackouts.
Heavy Rain and Waterlogging Across the City
The storm was soon followed by heavy rain, adding to the chaos. Several areas experienced waterlogging, creating major hurdles for late-night commuters. Authorities are yet to release an official statement, but emergency services have reportedly begun clearing fallen debris and restoring power lines.
