In a major boost for Skoda Auto India, the Skoda Kylaq emerged as the company’s best-selling SUV in June 2025, outpacing well-established rivals like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, and Hyundai Venue. The Kylaq recorded 3,196 unit sales, marking a significant milestone for the brand and cementing its growing dominance in the competitive mid-size SUV segment.

Skoda Kylaq Tops the Charts
The surge in Kylaq’s sales has positioned it at the top of Skoda’s sales lineup, reflecting its rising popularity among Indian buyers. With its bold styling, feature-rich cabin, and strong road presence, the Kylaq has become a go-to option for SUV enthusiasts looking for a premium yet practical experience.
Skoda Slavia Sees Sales Decline
In contrast, the Skoda Slavia, which took the second spot in the brand’s portfolio, reported 896 units sold in June 2025. This represents a sharp 27% year-on-year decline, as it had managed to sell 1,230 units in June 2024. Despite the dip, the Slavia continues to be Skoda’s top sedan offering and maintains relevance in a shrinking sedan market.
Kushaq Gains Momentum
Coming in third, the Skoda Kushaq registered 793 units sold, marking a 34% increase over the previous year. The growth indicates a strong rebound for the compact SUV, driven by improvements in features, value-for-money perception, and brand awareness. While not as dominant as the Kylaq, the Kushaq remains a key pillar in Skoda’s India strategy.
Kodiaq Holds Steady, Octavia Fades Out
The premium SUV Skoda Kodiaq secured 130 units in June 2025, holding steady within the brand’s limited but strategic lineup. However, the once-iconic Skoda Octavia continued to lose ground, recording zero sales for the month. This follows just one unit sold in June 2024, highlighting its struggle to stay relevant in the face of changing market dynamics and the SUV boom.
Skoda India’s Total Sales in June 2025
With all models combined, Skoda Auto India sold a total of 5,014 vehicles in June 2025. The Kylaq’s strong performance was the biggest contributor, helping offset slower numbers from older models. This clear shift in consumer preferences toward SUVs with bold design and improved practicality indicates where future growth for the brand may lie.
