State-Level Monitoring Through HSMS Portal Strengthened

UDAIPUR, February 26, 2026 (Udaipur Kiran): A detailed monitoring meeting on various modules of the Hostel and School Management System (HSMS) portal was held at the auditorium of the Tribal Area Development Department. The meeting was chaired by Additional Commissioner Krishnapal Singh Chauhan.

A total of 35 members, including district in-charges and departmental officials from across the state, participated in the review session.

Emphasis on Effective Monitoring

Krishnapal Singh Chauhan stated that several hostels and residential schools under the department operate in remote areas. In such situations, effective monitoring through the HSMS portal can significantly improve administration and functioning.

He directed that wardens must ensure 100 percent compliance in all portal modules, including:

Student attendance
Warden reporting
Parent and student feedback
Visit reports
Hostel profile updates

He further instructed districts to initiate action as per rules against wardens who fail to comply despite continuous monitoring. To strengthen state-level oversight and encourage better performance, the IT branch has been directed to develop a ranking system for wardens.

Review of Portal Modules

During the meeting, representatives from all districts gave presentations on data entries made across different modules of the HSMS portal. Additional Director Giriraj Kathiriya reviewed each module in detail and addressed operational challenges.

Dr Amrita Dadhich held a comprehensive discussion on the online admission process in Ashram hostels and residential schools. Suggestions from participants were compiled for further improvement.

Deputy Director (Education) Rakesh Royal and Satya Prakash Kaswan from the Tribal Area Development Department, Dungarpur district, were also present. The meeting proceedings were conducted by HSMS Nodal Monitoring Officer Dr Amrita Dadhich.
