Chittorgarh, April 16:
A district-level public hearing was held on Thursday under the state government’s three-tier public hearing program, chaired by District Collector Dr. Manju. A significant number of residents from across the district attended, bringing forth their concerns.
The District Collector listened attentively and sensitively to each complainant’s issues, directing the relevant officials to ensure prompt resolution on a priority basis. She emphasized that timely resolution of public grievances is the administration’s top priority, and any negligence in this matter is unacceptable.
During the public hearing, a total of 65 cases were received, with the majority related to the revenue department. These cases included issues such as removal of encroachments, providing access roads to fields, common pathways, stone quarrying, land disputes, and initiating installments for the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Additionally, numerous complaints regarding pension-related matters under social security schemes were also submitted.
The District Collector resolved several cases on the spot, providing relief to the complainants, while the remaining cases were forwarded to the respective officials for swift resolution. She coordinated with the sub-divisional officers to ensure immediate solutions for the cases brought by complainants from the district headquarters and other areas. Furthermore, while reviewing cases registered with the District Vigilance Committee, the District Collector instructed officials to personally observe these cases and ensure their prompt resolution.
Present at the event were Additional District Collector (Administration) Prabha Gautam, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council Vinay Pathak, ADM (Land Acquisition) Ramchandra Khatik, Sub-Divisional Officer Beenu Deval, and all district-level officials. Block-level officials also participated via video conferencing, sharing information about cases pertinent to their respective areas.
