
Alwar, April 16: The India International Music Lovers Society is currently the talk of the town, focusing on music as a form of meditation and therapy. Under the leadership of founders Dr. Lal Thadani and Dr. Deepa Thadani, the institution celebrated its sixth year with a series of 101 musical events. Recently, a heartfelt tribute was paid to the legendary Asha Bhosle, where singers performed her iconic songs in a restaurant setting.
The chief guests included Dr. Shimbhu, a pathologist from JLN Medical College, retired principal Kumkum Jain from the education department, and artist Rajeshwari. Together with a four-year-old girl named Miraya, they paid homage to Asha Bhosle by placing floral garlands on her portrait.
The event featured doctors, nursing tutors, teachers, and administrative officials who passionately sang Asha Bhosle’s songs. Dr. Shimbhu delivered a stunning performance, showcasing his vocal talent. Recently, his daughter donated a kidney to him, adding a personal touch to his tribute. Rajeshwari, who attended the event shortly after undergoing eye surgery, also honored Asha Bhosle. Dr. Shimbhu performed “Sajna Hai Mujhe,” adding to the emotional atmosphere.
Chairman Gopendra Pal Singh welcomed the guests and captivated the audience with “Deewana Hua Badal.” The program commenced with 14-year-old Navneet Punjabi enchanting everyone with “Komal Hai Kamzor Nahi.” Dr. Manish Saxena created a devotional ambiance with “Tora Man Darpan Kahlaye.”
Deepak Bhargav brought life to Asha Bhosle’s disco hits with “Chha Gaya Mera Jadoo,” while teacher Alok Verma’s rendition of “Kajra Mohabbat Wala” paid tribute to Shamshad Begum. Emerging artists like Premlata Chauhan, Manohar Gokalani, Pooja Jaiswal, Sarita, and Yudhishthir Chauhan, along with senior citizens and retired officials, delivered impressive performances.
Mukesh Koli, a nursing staff member, sang Asha Bhosle’s ghazal “Kya Ahle Wafa,” followed by Dr. Lal Thadani’s group performance of “Kabhi Kisi Ko Mukammal Jahan Nahi Milta,” marking the event’s conclusion. Ravindra Mathur shed light on Asha Bhosle’s biography, while Sanjeev Sharma hosted the event.
