Anurag Thakur Calls for Change in West Bengal to Protect States Identity

Kolkata, March 8: Former Union Minister and MP Anurag Singh Thakur addressed a large public gathering today in the Naihati assembly of North 24 Parganas district. He criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for opposing the President and Governor while welcoming infiltrators and mafia elements into the state.

Thakur stated that Mamata is not just the Chief Minister but the leader of mafia, jihadists, and infiltrators. He emphasized that for the protection of Bengal’s identity and resources, it is essential for the TMC government to be replaced by the BJP.

He remarked, “The upcoming assembly elections in Bengal are crucial for the preservation of Bengali pride, culture, and existence. For a long time, Bangladeshi infiltration has been rampant in Bengal. The Congress, Communists, and TMC have systematically facilitated this infiltration, as these infiltrators serve as vote banks for them.”

The BJP MP criticized the West Bengal government for failing to create new industries for the youth, instead allowing ministers and leaders to engage in corruption. Over twelve ministers and leaders have been arrested in corruption cases, he noted.

Thakur pointed out a pattern where TMC leaders claim illness whenever they are caught in corruption scandals, with Mamata quickly declaring them innocent. He added that when central agencies investigate criminal cases in Bengal, they fear Mamata more than the criminals themselves.

He highlighted that under TMC rule, even schools and colleges are unsafe for girls, forcing victims to repeatedly seek justice in courts. Both the Communists and TMC have governed Bengal for fifty years, leading to misgovernance. He asserted that Bengal needs good governance, and if given two decades of it, the state could become one of the most developed in India, which only the BJP can provide.

Thakur criticized the TMC’s slogan of “Maa, Mati, Manush,” claiming that Mamata has taken away the mother, mafia has consumed the land, and money power has devoured the people, resulting in a government of Mamata, mafia, and money power.

He expressed concerns over the safety of Hindus, temples, daughters, judges, and even cattle in Bengal. He accused Mamata of leading the state into a debt trap over the past 15 years, with West Bengal now having the highest debt in the country, exceeding ₹8 lakh crore.

Thakur concluded by stating that Mamata Banerjee and her party have left no stone unturned in ruining Bengal, while the BJP government under Prime Minister Modi is working diligently for the welfare of the state.
