
Chittorgarh, April 22: District Collector Dr. Manju conducted an inspection of the district library on Kila Road and the information center at Nehru Bazaar on Wednesday. During the visit, she assessed the facilities available for students, senior citizens, and readers.
Dr. Manju emphasized the need for improved amenities in the libraries, including proper seating arrangements, clean drinking water, and restroom facilities. She directed officials from UIT and the municipal council to ensure these basic necessities are adequately provided.
“The library is a vital center for knowledge and study. It is essential to offer a clean, organized, and inspiring environment for visitors,” she stated. During her inspection, Dr. Manju interacted with senior citizens and students present in the library to gather feedback on the facilities and instructed improvements based on their needs.
Following this, she visited the information center at Nehru Bazaar. She urged the prompt reopening of the long-closed library, directing UIT and the municipal council to arrange necessary furniture and other resources to benefit the public and students.
The District Collector instructed officials to prioritize and complete all improvement works in a timely manner to strengthen the environment for study and reading in the district.
Present at the occasion were District Council CEO Vinay Pathak, UIT Secretary Kailash Chandra Gurjar, Land Acquisition Officer Anshul Ameria, and other officials and staff.
