
Mumbai, March 9: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is not only committed to public safety but also exemplifies Humanitarian Service. On the occasion of its Foundation Day, an inspiring display of humanity and service was witnessed in Bijapur district.
Under the guidance of the Collector and Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, along with Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr. B.R. Pujari, the 170th Battalion of the CRPF organized a Blood Donation Camp in Bijapur.
CRPF personnel participated enthusiastically, voluntarily donating blood. A total of 52 units of blood were collected during the camp, which will play a crucial role in treating patients in need at local hospitals.
Officials present at the event emphasized that blood donation is considered the greatest gift, as it can save the life of someone in need. This camp, held on the CRPF Foundation Day, sends a strong message of service, cooperation, and humanity within the community.
The initiative received praise from officials who noted that such events raise awareness about blood donation and inspire more people to engage in this noble cause.
On the 87th CRPF Foundation Day, the 112th Battalion of the CRPF, based in Kangpokpi, successfully organized a Free Medical Camp in the remote areas of Lamchok Nepali village, Manipur, under the guidance of the IG of Manipur and Nagaland Sector.
Deputy Commandant Rajendra Prasad Raigar, Assistant Commandant Shivraj Mahulaya, Unit Medical Officer Dr. Durgesh Dhote, and nursing and paramedical staff from both the 112th Battalion and PHC T. Vaichong participated in this initiative.
This effort aligns with the CRPF’s motto of ‘Service and Loyalty,’ aiming to provide essential health services and free medicines to residents in remote areas.
Over 200 villagers attended the medical camp, including students from local schools in the IT Road area. Village heads and representatives from the Kuki, Naga, and Nepali communities also actively participated.
In addition to medical check-ups, medicines were distributed, and basic tests were conducted by lab technicians on-site. School children attending the medical check-up received notebooks and pens as well. Villagers expressed their gratitude to the 112th Battalion of the CRPF and the Kangpokpi district administration for their significant contributions to the successful organization of this medical camp.
