Udaipur, March 13 (Daily Udaipur): A woman from the Tidi police station area near the city has filed a case against her own son, accusing him of getting her share of land sold by misleading her with the promise of arranging a pension.

According to police, Champa, daughter of Bhera Ji Meena and wife of Nana Meena, a resident of Roda Somawat Bilakh, has lodged a complaint against Shantilal, son of Nanalal and resident of Kikawat Oda, along with Manoharlal, son of Mohanlal Meena of Chauki Fala Paduna Barapal, Kailash, son of Nathulal Meena of Kharkatalab Odwadiya, and others.
In the complaint, Champa stated that after the death of her father Bhairalal Meena, land located in Tidi was equally divided among her siblings Kesar, Ranchhod and herself. She alleged that her son Shantilal convinced her that he would help start a government pension of ₹1,000 per month meant for widowed elderly women.
On this pretext, he allegedly took her to a government office and got her thumb impressions and signatures on various documents, later getting the land registered in the names of Manoharlal Meena and Kailash Meena.
The matter came to light when her brother Ranchhod applied for copies of land account documents to prepare a caste certificate and discovered that the entire land had been transferred to the names of Manoharlal and Kailash. Champa alleged that she was misled into signing the documents in the name of pension formalities and did not receive any money from the land transaction.
