Major Drug Trafficker Arrested After Six Years in Chittorgarh

Chittorgarh, March 16: The police of Manglawar in Chittorgarh have successfully apprehended a wanted drug trafficker who had been on the run for the past six years. This operation was part of the ongoing initiative, Operation Trinetra, aimed at combating illegal drug trafficking.

Superintendent of Police Manish Tripathi reported that on December 12, 2019, the Manglawar police seized approximately 148 kilograms of illegal opium during a blockade. At that time, two suspects from Haryana were arrested, while others involved managed to escape.

Following directives from Udaipur Range Inspector General Gaurav Srivastava, this operation was executed to curb the trafficking of illegal substances. Under the supervision of ASP Sarita Singh and DSP Badisadri Deshraj Kuldeep, the police team, led by Station House Officer Bhagwan Lal, detained and interrogated the long-evaded suspect, Mubarik, son of Kamal Khan Mev, a resident of Hujra Gadhaner in Bharatpur district (currently in Dung district). He was arrested in Gurugram, Haryana.

The police team included ASI Jagdish Chandra, Constables Rakesh Kumar, Sunil Kumar, and Shri Bhan Singh.

The district police have urged citizens to report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking immediately to the nearest police station, control room, or the Narcotics Tip Helpline at 94604-25643.
