Shahpura, May 19:

The meeting focused on improving hospital facilities, safety, resources, and patient care. Notably, around ₹22 lakh is available in the MRS fund for development initiatives, prompting regular meetings to address these concerns.
Before the meeting, MLA Yadav inspected the hospital and expressed frustration over the disarray and cleanliness issues. He reprimanded the PMO for the hospital’s improper waste disposal, particularly concerning bio-waste. The MLA emphasized the need for proper bio-waste management.
During the meeting, Yadav also interacted with patients and inspected the medicine distribution counters. He voiced his displeasure over the sample testing counter closing at noon and instructed that it remain open for the entire scheduled time. Additionally, he expressed dissatisfaction with the closure of the NCD counter, urging for its prompt reopening to facilitate general health checks for individuals over 30.
Yadav directed that the public toilets within the hospital remain open 24/7 and called for the reopening of a previously closed gate. He also instructed linking the maternity ward and other toilets to an existing safety tank, replacing drainage systems, and ensuring adequate water disposal.
The meeting addressed the poor condition of medicine distribution counters, the rise in theft incidents, and the need for additional CCTV cameras. The proposal to install barbed wire along the western boundary wall was also discussed to enhance security.
Moreover, the need for appointing essential staff, operating a Jan Aushadhi center, and modernizing the X-ray department with advanced printing facilities was raised. Discussions included purchasing new computers and laser printers to digitize data across all departments.
The meeting also covered the maintenance of bed sheets, OT sheets, and gowns. A proposal was made to seek permission from the relevant department for repairing the hospital’s outer walls, installing racks for safe medicine storage, and providing incentives for cataract surgery patients during eye camps.
The need for installing air conditioning, fans, and coolers in the hospital was emphasized, along with the importance of conducting timely electrical and fire audits to prevent future incidents.
MLA Manish Yadav reiterated that providing better medical services to patients is his top priority, and all necessary actions will be taken in phases.
