
Udaipur, March 25: The Sukher police have successfully apprehended two wanted suspects involved in a chain snatching incident that occurred on March 18. This operation was carried out by teams formed under the direction of the district police superintendent.
According to reports, a 75-year-old woman was returning home after visiting a temple when two assailants on a motorcycle pushed her and snatched her gold chain near Celebration Mall before fleeing the scene. Following the incident, a case was registered at Sukher police station, and an investigation commenced.
Given the seriousness of the crime, the police established multiple teams to review footage from approximately 500 CCTV cameras and utilized both technical and human intelligence to locate the suspects. During the investigation, the suspects’ activities were traced to highways and other districts, prompting raids at various locations.
The police have arrested both suspects—Prabhulal alias Prakash and Tarun alias Sikandar. Both individuals have a history of criminal activity, and police are currently conducting further interrogations. During their arrest, the suspects attempted to flee, resulting in injuries.
