Jaipur, March 30: Opposition leader Tika Ram Julie has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s recent address in Parliament regarding the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He described the Prime Minister’s remarks as “arrived late but not well-prepared,” stating that the speech lacked concrete solutions or new information to provide relief to the citizens.
Julie accused the central government of having a vague and shortsighted policy, which he claims is pushing the country towards an energy crisis. He urged the government to present a clear strategy regarding LPG supply and its impact on the poor, farmers, and laborers.
Questioning the Prime Minister’s tenure, Julie also targeted the government’s handling of demonetization and the COVID-19 pandemic. He highlighted the severe difficulties faced by citizens due to shortages of oxygen and healthcare facilities during the pandemic, while the government seemed preoccupied with other initiatives.
Additionally, he referenced Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, noting that Gandhi had repeatedly warned the government, but his concerns were ignored.
On foreign policy, Julie criticized the current administration, suggesting that during former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s era, India held a strong position on the international stage. He claimed the current government is accused of yielding to American pressure.
Julie expressed concern for the safety of Rajasthan’s youth, referencing the conflicts in West Asia and the Russia-Ukraine war. He called on the government to take more effective measures to ensure the safe return of Indians stranded in war-affected areas.
