New District Collector Gaurav Agarwal Takes Charge in Udaipur

Udaipur, April 3: Gaurav Agarwal, the newly appointed District Collector of Udaipur, arrived in the city on Friday. He took charge at the Collectorate in the afternoon. Speaking to the media, Agarwal emphasized his commitment to implementing government welfare schemes effectively and accelerating development projects in the district. He stated that enhancing tourism in Udaipur would be a top priority.

Upon his arrival at the Circuit House, Agarwal was welcomed by ADM Administration Deependra Singh Rathore, ADM City Jitendra Ojha, and Girwa SDM Avula Saikrishna, among others. He officially assumed his duties at the Collectorate around 3:30 PM, where he was greeted by various district-level officials and staff, including the two ADMs, Girwa SDM Saikrishna, trainee IAS officer Shrishti Dabas, and UDA Secretary Hemendra Nagar.

After taking charge, Agarwal held a brief introductory meeting with officials to discuss the current administrative setup, key projects, and the progress of development works. He instructed all departments to work collaboratively to ensure the effective implementation of schemes, enabling timely benefits to reach eligible individuals.

In a media interaction, District Collector Agarwal remarked that Udaipur represents the face of tourism in Rajasthan. The hospitality associated with Udaipur is renowned across the state. Its rich history and natural beauty attract visitors from around the globe. He pledged to maintain this prestigious identity while taking concrete steps to enhance tourism facilities, improve cleanliness, and ensure a better experience for tourists.

Agarwal highlighted that the administration’s priority would be to address public grievances promptly and to ensure that government schemes reach the grassroots level. He mentioned plans to strengthen the public hearing system for timely and transparent resolution of complaints. The Collector also assured that special attention would be given to the development of education, health, drinking water, roads, and other essential services. He urged officials to approach public-related tasks with sensitivity, transparency, and accountability to build trust in the administration. Agarwal expressed confidence that the district administration would work as a cohesive team to elevate Udaipur to new heights of development.
