Mumbai, April 3: In response to a recent theft at a sweet shop, the Lawaan police have ramped up their efforts to ensure safety in the town. On Thursday night, police conducted extensive patrols in collaboration with local residents. Officers were seen in both uniformed vehicles and plain clothes, closely monitoring any suspicious activities.
Head Constable Kamlesh Singh stated that anyone found loitering without a valid reason after 11 PM will face strict action. Farmers working late are also required to provide clear information about their activities. The police are enforcing heightened vigilance at key checkpoints throughout the town.
The police have appealed for cooperation from local business owners. Previously, some merchants participated in patrols with the police, but this collaboration has decreased recently. A meeting with traders will be organized soon to address this issue. Shopkeepers have been instructed to keep their lights on outside their stores at night and to report any suspicious individuals immediately.
In addition, Station Officer Jagannath Jat announced that there will be stringent measures against drug abuse, illegal alcohol sales, and reckless motorcycle riding at night. The identity of anyone reporting drug-related activities will be kept confidential. A special team has also been formed to tackle these issues.
The police assured the community that they will work diligently to resolve recent thefts. Meanwhile, locals have expressed the need for improved behavior from some officers and are seeking better communication with the police.
