Police Seize Illegal Brown Sugar and Arrest Two in Salmgarh Operation

Mumbai, April 13: In a recent operation, police in Salmgarh seized 5.09 grams of illegal brown sugar and arrested two individuals. The operation took place during a routine checkpoint where officers noticed a scooter approaching.

As the scooter driver spotted the police, he attempted to divert onto a path leading to a nearby pond, while the passenger jumped off and fled. The police quickly surrounded the area and apprehended both suspects.

Upon questioning, the scooter driver identified himself as Kuldeep, son of Jivansingh, while the passenger was named Deepak, son of Rajendra, residing in Kanwan, Badnawar, District Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. When asked about their suspicious behavior, they failed to provide satisfactory explanations.

A search of Kuldeep revealed a bag containing 5.09 grams of illegal brown sugar. Both suspects were arrested, and the seized brown sugar, along with the scooter used for transportation, was taken to the Salmgarh police station for further investigation.

This incident highlights ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat drug-related offenses in the region.
