Congress Accuses Rajasthan Government of Silencing Opposition Voices

Jaipur, August 20: During the monsoon session of the Rajasthan Assembly, Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra accused the government of suppressing opposition voices. He claimed that Congress legislators and leaders were barred from entering the assembly, with Gate Number 6 locked.

Dotasra stated that the Congress party wanted to discuss several issues in the house, including alleged corruption in the education department, the education minister‘s conduct, government failures, alleged scams related to agriculture, and the healthcare system.

Government Under Fire Over Education System
Dotasra alleged serious mismanagement within the state’s education system. He raised concerns about teacher transfers and the lack of basic facilities in schools.

He claimed that around 3,000 schools in the state do not have teachers, and many lack essential facilities like toilets. He noted that students are suffering due to these conditions, while the government focuses on silencing the opposition and the media instead of addressing real issues.

Allegations Regarding Transfers and Legal Maneuvers
The Congress president also made serious allegations regarding transfers within the education department. He mentioned issues such as transfers being conducted for money and the filing of caveats in the High Court, demanding answers from the government. Dotasra emphasized that the opposition wants to discuss all these matters in the assembly, but the government is attempting to prevent this.

Sharp Attack on Education Minister Madan Dilawar
When asked about Education Minister Madan Dilawar’s claim that media access to schools has not been entirely restricted, Dotasra sharply criticized the minister. He questioned Dilawar’s approach and made serious allegations against him.

Dotasra also accused the government of increasing the influence of the RSS in the education system, claiming that RSS-affiliated individuals are conducting exams and other activities within school premises. However, there has been no immediate response from the government or the education minister regarding these allegations.

Education Issues Likely to Heat Up During Monsoon Session
Given the Congress party’s aggressive stance on the education department, the condition of government schools, and the minister’s conduct, it is clear that education-related issues are likely to take center stage during the monsoon session. Following protests outside the assembly and accusations of blockades at the gates, Congress is preparing to confront the government on these issues within the house.
