Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma Unveils ₹924 Crore Development Projects in Pratapgarh

Pratapgarh, September 26: Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced over ₹924 crore for 1,452 development projects during his visit to Pratapgarh on Saturday. This initiative includes the inauguration of 423 projects worth ₹256 crore and the foundation laying of 1,029 projects valued at ₹668 crore. The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing water, electricity, roads, education, healthcare, and livelihood facilities in rural areas.

During the event, the first honey product under the ‘Vanagiri’ brand, named ‘Adiparag’, was launched to promote the marketing of minor forest produce in tribal areas. An MoU was also exchanged between Rajsangh and ConFed for the sale and marketing of products developed at Forest Development Centers.

Development Initiatives Across Udaipur Division

The program marked the initiation of various development projects across seven districts in the Udaipur division. This includes 526 projects worth ₹166.80 crore in Udaipur, 105 projects worth ₹189.85 crore in Dungarpur, 88 projects worth ₹164.57 crore in Chittorgarh, and 77 projects worth ₹89.68 crore in Banswara.

In Pratapgarh, 436 projects worth ₹109.77 crore, 130 projects worth ₹108.50 crore in Rajsamand, and 90 projects worth ₹95.05 crore in Salumber were also included.

Focus on Roads, Water, and Electricity

The Chief Minister highlighted that the inaugurated projects include several related to public utilities. This encompasses 14 projects for electricity supply worth ₹87 crore, 15 projects related to drinking water and irrigation exceeding ₹75 crore, seven road projects worth ₹22 crore, and 19 school-related projects worth over ₹9 crore.

Additionally, among the 1,029 projects for which the foundation was laid, there are 299 road projects worth ₹429 crore, 562 rural development projects worth ₹73 crore, and six major health-related projects worth ₹71 crore.

Promoting Tribal Heritage and Forest Products

The Chief Minister stated that tribal art, traditions, and local products are vital to Rajasthan’s identity. The government aims to ensure better pricing and larger markets for the products of people living in forest areas.

To this end, the ‘Adiparag’ wild forest honey was launched under the ‘Vanagiri’ brand. An agreement was also made to provide market access for other products developed at Forest Development Centers.

Establishment of 530 Forest Development Centers

The Chief Minister announced the establishment of 530 Forest Development Centers across eight districts in the state. He mentioned an increase in the honorarium for personnel associated with mother-and-child centers and the opening of 250 new centers.

Furthermore, the monthly stipend for students has been raised to ₹3,250. The Chief Minister also discussed the distribution of mini-kits to tribal farmers and loan distribution under the Tribal Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme.

Goal to Provide Daytime Electricity to Farmers by 2027

In his address, the Chief Minister stated that the state government is working towards providing daytime electricity to farmers in all districts by 2027. He also mentioned agreements related to increasing water availability through projects like the Ramjal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water, Narmada, and Kishau projects.

Plans are underway to provide youth with e-library and e-mitra facilities through Atal Knowledge Centers at the panchayat level.

Visit to Deepeshwar Mahadev Temple

Upon arriving in Pratapgarh, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the Deepeshwar Mahadev Temple, performing a ceremonial bathing with Panchamrit and praying for the state’s prosperity. He was welcomed with traditional folk dance upon his arrival.

The event was attended by Tribal Regional Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, Cooperation State Minister Gautam Kumar Dak, and several other representatives.
